CCS Staff “Beat the Boss” at Andover Bootcamp
CCS colleagues in Andover recently enjoyed an energetic and entertaining fitness session as the company’s regular subsidised bootcamp was given a special “Beat the Boss” twist.
The session was led by personal trainer Ben Hodgson, who guided the team through a varied circuit designed to get everyone moving, raise their heart rates and, most importantly, have some fun. Ben demonstrated each exercise, kept everyone motivated and made sure participants could work at a level that suited them.
CCS Managing Director Danny Gladwyn also became part of the circuit itself. Danny took his place at one of the stations and gave each member of staff the opportunity to punch him for 60 seconds.
It quickly became one of the most popular parts of the session, with colleagues keen to test their boxing skills and make the most of the rare opportunity to take a few completely good-natured swings at the boss.
There was plenty of determination, laughter and friendly competition throughout the workout. The circuits gave colleagues the chance to exercise together, encourage one another and enjoy some time together away from their usual working environment.
With Ben providing the direction and motivation, and Danny volunteering as part of the workout, the session created a positive and memorable atmosphere from beginning to end.
CCS offers subsidised fitness bootcamp sessions to its Andover employees every Monday and Wednesday at 5:30pm, helping colleagues to get fitter, feel better and have fun together.
The “Beat the Boss” event was a great success and a brilliant example of how workplace wellbeing activities can support fitness, teamwork and stronger relationships between colleagues.
