CCS Proud to Sponsor the 1LI Association and the 1LI Reunion & Raffle 2027
Compliance & Energy Services (CCS) is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 1LI Association and its flagship annual event, the 1LI Reunion & Raffle 2027.
The 1LI Association is the formal battalion association for all those who served in the 1st Battalion, The Light Infantry during its service years from 1968 to 2007. Following the regiment's merger with others in 2007, The Light Infantry became part of what is now known as The Rifles. Today, the Association continues to provide a vital connection for veterans, preserving the battalion's history, camaraderie, and traditions.
As a self-funded organisation, the Association relies on the generosity of its members, supporters, and sponsors. Through donations and fundraising activities held throughout the year, the Association is able to continue its important work supporting veterans and their families. The centrepiece of these efforts is the annual 1LI Reunion & Raffle, which brings together former serving personnel while raising funds for essential causes.
One of the Association's most important commitments is ensuring that those who have served are never forgotten. Through its Memorial Page, the Association honours veterans who have passed away and helps preserve their legacy for future generations. Funds also support the provision of 1LI Poppy Wreaths, the maintenance and replacement of battalion coffin drapes, and representation at veterans' funerals wherever possible.
These services carry ongoing costs, and without the annual raffle and the support of sponsors, many of them would be difficult to sustain. This is why CCS is delighted to support the Association over the coming 12 months.
Our sponsorship will cover the core costs associated with organising and running the 1LI Reunion & Raffle 2027. By helping to fund the event itself, CCS is enabling the Association to direct 100% of every £1 raffle ticket sold into the protected 1LI Poppy Wreath Fund.
This means that every raffle ticket purchased will make a direct contribution towards ensuring veterans are remembered with dignity and respect, while helping the Association continue its valuable work for years to come.
