Job Purpose:

As the Installation Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing technical support and project management within our installation operations. This includes duties related to costing, certification, client interaction, team oversight, and scheduling. Reporting directly to senior management and Directors, you’ll ensure the successful delivery of services and maintain our high standards of quality.

Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage both planned and reactive replacement programs, ensuring excellence in client and customer service.

· Oversee employee relations, work allocation, and the logistics for installation teams.

· Manage staff development, offering training and advancement opportunities for both administrative and trade teams.

· Handle technical troubleshooting by analysing data, coordinating reports, and managing job variations.

· Conduct regular site audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.

· Provide responsive client communications, ensuring prompt and effective service.

· Support weekly financial reporting, assisting the commercial team with valuations.

· Oversee departmental disciplinary procedures, team meetings, and monthly P&L reviews.

· Ensure high-quality surveying and post-inspection of works are consistently conducted.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

· Project management, budgeting, technical auditing, and spending control.

· Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with experience in surveying and cost analysis.

· In-depth knowledge of heating systems, Installation protocols, and industry standards.

· Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical challenges.

· Experience in training, health and safety management, and technical auditing.

Gas Certifications

· CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1, MET1

Additional Specialist Certifications

· COCN1 or CODNCO1, TPCP1 and TPCP1A, UVHW, Gas Safe Registration

Experience Required:

· Demonstrated experience in large-scale Installation programs, especially within social housing.

· Proven track record in team leadership, with the ability to manage engineers and supervisors.
