Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced M&E Contract Manager to oversee and manage mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracts within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual agreements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of M&E contracts, from tendering and negotiation to project delivery and final handover.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor project financials, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Supervise and support project teams, including engineers and subcontractors, to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that any variations or claims are managed efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an M&E Contract Manager or in a similar role within the construction, engineering, or facilities management sector.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, construction contracts, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and manage contracts, including NEC, JCT, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
  • Professional certifications such as CIBSE, IET, or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
