As a Site Supervisor - Retrofit, you will play a key role in delivering energy efficiency and retrofit projects across the UK. You will supervise on-site operations, liaise with clients and residents, ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, and oversee subcontractors and direct labour. Your work will support CCS in enhancing social housing with sustainable energy solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Project Management:

  • Supervise retrofitting and energy efficiency projects within social housing, ensuring a whole-house improvement approach.
  • Ensure projects adhere to Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations and company health & safety protocols.
  • Manage site inductions and support external audits and client health & safety audits.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and tradespeople, ensuring work meets CCS standards.
  • Conduct on-site quality control checks and audits to ensure compliance.

Client & Resident Liaison:

  • Act as the primary contact for clients and residents, ensuring smooth communication and excellent service.
  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager and Resident Liaison Officer to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions where necessary.

Material & Resource Management:

  • Ensure materials, equipment, and labour are available and optimised for each project.
  • Maintain stock control and oversee orders for project materials.
  • Coordinate with the scheduling team to align on project timelines.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure H&S compliance and risk assessments are conducted and followed.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and team briefings to maintain site safety.
  • Provide regular reports on site activity, issues, and progress to the line manager.
  • Oversee completion of QC checks, documentation, and certification for projects.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent.
  • Strong technical auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of social housing maintenance and large-scale installations.
  • Experience in energy efficiency & retrofit projects (preferred).
  • Experience in electrical work or building fabric insulation (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and residents.
